THE BRIEF

The client has previously worked with Form on an industrial unit project on the adjacent section. Form were re-engaged to design & build a second similar industrial development.

THE BUILD

The site for the building is a sought after, convenient location, close to the Baypark sporting complex in an industrial area of Mount Maunganui. There are 10 trade units in the complex varying in size from 83m2 to 271m2. All units contain toilet facilities and a kitchenette, and some of the units have been designed with office spaces.

The building is externally covered with vertical run metal cladding. The client selected bright orange accents for the road-facing side. This creates a prominent and visually appealing facade. Precast concrete walls are used to form the boundaries and intertenancy walls. Extensive parking facilities are provided in the space between the two blocks of industrial units.

THE OUTCOMES

Another successful project for both Form and our client. The development has run to programme and budget. With their distinctive colour accents, the trade units are easily noticed when travelling between Mount Maunganui and Papamoa.
