THE BRIEF

Design and construct a warehouse that meets the demands of Steelfort Engineering Company Ltd. This project consists of general warehouse space, service area, showroom space and office space.

THE BUILD

There are two components to the structure; a warehouse and a two storey showroom. The North, East and South elevation envelope were constructed entirely of precast elements removing the requirement for access and over sailing to the perimeter. The panels were protected and supported following temporary engineering design until the structural steel was put in place.

The warehouse has a structural steel portal frame, high bay lighting, charging station for electric forklifts, conventional power requirements, steelstud and aluminium joinery.

THE OUTCOMES

Form spent considerable time working with the client to ensure the design was exactly as the client imagined. Value engineering and other cost saving initiatives were made to ensure the project met the clients budget. The programme was tailored to accommodate design changes led by the client.
