THE BRIEF

The client’s dream was to create a café and a restaurant in two adjacent buildings, separated by an open walkway in the new Mount Central building. The Rabbit Hole Café and the Rabbit Hole Restaurant are to complement each other in design and style, yet offer diverse dining experiences and entertainment options.

THE BUILD

Form were engaged as the contractor to construct the base build of the Mount Central complex. This landmark project was a huge success in both design and quality. We subsequently completed a number of retail fitouts, including the Rabbit Hole Café and Restaurant.

The café and restaurant were meticulously designed and featured elaborate lighting, moody colours and luxury materials; such as copper panelling and rustic oak flooring. Acoustic tiles were used on the ceilings and an outdoor fire was included in the fitout.

THE OUTCOMES

The eclectic, sumptuous styling in the café and restaurant created a talking point throughout the community. Form worked closely with the client and design team to successfully deliver this fitout in a timely fashion. The café and restaurant nicely integrate with the surrounding complex and offer dining and entertainment options to the discerning Mount Maunganui community.
