Form partnered with ASC Architects and BGT Structures on this Design & Build initiative for the Ministry of Education as part of the 2019 Primary School Bundles. The objective was to construct a new primary school for the recently established suburb of Belmont and neighbouring suburbs.
The project included three buildings – a hall/admin block, a specialised classroom block and a two-storey classroom block. The specialised classroom block hosts the Blind and Low Vision Education Network NZ (BLENNZ) and Parkside School for students with special needs. This fully accessible building includes a hoist and track for students requiring physical assistance, incorporating both visual and acoustic design.
Due to the close proximity of Tamaoho and Paerata Schools, Form utilised the same subcontractors across both sites to achieve efficiencies and savings both financially and in the program. The clients were extremely impressed with Form’s management and conduct throughout the duration of the project.
