Form was engaged to design and build a warehouse catering to the specific needs of Steelfort Engineering, encompassing general warehouse space, service area, showroom and office space. The project features two main components: a warehouse and a two-storey showroom.
The north, east, and south elevation envelope were exclusively constructed using precast elements, eliminating the need for perimeter access and over-sailing. These panels underwent temporary engineering design for protection and support until the installation of the structural steel. The warehouse boasts a structural steel portal frame, high bay lighting, electric forklift charging stations, conventional power setups, plus steel stud and aluminium joinery.
Form collaborated extensively with the client to ensure the design aligned precisely with their vision. Value engineering and cost-saving measures were implemented to meet budget constraints, and the program was adapted to accommodate design changes initiated by the client.
