Jace (Mpac) Stage 5

Industrial
Early Contractor Involvement, Build Only
11 months

JACE Stage 5 continued the progressive expansion of JACE Group’s industrial facility, following successful delivery of earlier stages by Form. This 20,648m² development was constructed within an 11-month programme to ensure full operational readiness ahead of the 2025 kiwifruit season.

The project comprised eleven coolstores (nine fully racked), a precooler, plant and MCC rooms, truck dock, cooling towers, eastern and western canopies, and a two-storey office with patio and deck. Site works also included a ring road, 46 carparks, and extensive in-ground services across the 27,086m² footprint.

Delivery required more than 20,000 labour hours, extensive precast and structural steel installation (over 1,000 tonnes), and high-precision construction of concrete foundations, slabs, insulated panel systems, roofing, and cladding. Despite a challenging and wet winter, the programme was maintained through overlapping workstreams, proactive subcontractor collaboration, and continuous Health & Safety integration.

The project reflects Form’s proven expertise in high-performance, large-scale industrial infrastructure.
