The project involved the redevelopment of an operational kiwifruit packhouse including construction of a new drive-through canopy and cool store all within a live operational site. The works were delivered under tight constraints aligned to the kiwifruit harvest season, necessitating a high level of coordination and execution to achieve completion ahead of peak operational demand.
Delivered under an NZS 3915 contract model incorporating both lump sum and actual cost components, this required strong commercial oversight and transparent reporting to manage all commercial aspects clearly and robustly. Construction commenced in October 2025 and reached completion in April 2026, successfully meeting the client’s operational deadlines and enabling a seamless transition into the production season.
