THE BRIEF

Remove 18 existing prefabricated classrooms on site including the treatment of asbestos containing materials.

Construction of a new two storey 18 classroom block. This will provide the school and community with improved learning spaces.

New Tiger Turf field, hard & soft landscaped areas where buildings have been removed including a late increase of landscape scope at the school and MOE’s request.

New accessible route connecting the proposed area with the rest of school whilst the final separable portion is completed.

THE BUILD

The project is ongoing and tracking well given the recent COVID delays. The client and consultancy team are thoroughly happy with the way Form are managing the build and considering all opportunities to overcome the challenges being faced.

Construction began in November 2020 and completed June 2022.

THE OUTCOMES

Form’s relationship with the Ministry of Education formed over a number of years and has only strengthened and maintained with the approach the site team has taken on Owairoa.
