Projects

If our people are our DNA then our projects are what defines us. The end result of all the hard work, approach and application of our expertise. With fast-paced growth in the commercial sector, we’re proud of the growing list of projects with Form’s name on them.

THE BRIEF

Form and Trust Waikato entered into an ECI arrangement to facilitate the design and build of a high specification commercial building. The client wished to use the building for the purpose of providing a bright open work space for staff, combined with attractive meeting spaces for all manner of community groups.

THE BUILD

Featuring a mono-pitched roof over two levels, the building is both architecturally arresting and functional, acknowledging and integrating cultural, historical and contemporary design features.

The striking building features a number of materials, including cedar lined soffits, Corten steel and Glue Laminated timber posts. Internally, a number of feature walls were created using Abodo re-cycled timber boards. In the entrance lobby, visitors are greeted by a mix of natural and modern materials with Corten Steel, roughsawn timber, glass pivot doors and Asona Baffle beams illuminated using LED lighting.

The project began with the demolition of the existing Trust Cottage which was built in the early 1920’s. The cottage had seen a number of renovations but had become too small for the vision of the Trust. Eventually the difficult decision was made to demolish the cottage and provide a new purpose built premises.

THE OUTCOMES

Works were completed in April 2018, on time and under budget.
