THE BRIEF

The client wished to build an architectural retail building in a traditional style with modern design features, as part of a large commercial development in northeast Hamilton.

THE BUILD

A single-level architecturally designed retail premises with sheltered outdoor areas for café patrons and access from the road and carpark. The building is easily accessible for motorists and will service the expanding residential community.

The main colour scheme of orange, black and grey is in keeping with the surrounding buildings. The exterior is of brick with aluminium joinery. The structure is of steel with timber dividing walls.

THE OUTCOMES

Communication was key to the successful outcome of this project, with the concurrent development of surrounding buildings impacting of programming. The outcome was a quality building, exceeding client expectations.
