THE BRIEF

To deliver high-end multi retail stores that are unique in their own right and make an iconic mark on the corner of Maunganui Road and Banks Ave.

THE BUILD

Mount Central began with the demolition of three existing buildings to make way for the new Mount Central Development. Mount Central consists of two exciting single level retail buildings connected by an architecturally designed canopy and the use of unique claddings and different height roof levels to enhance the distinction of this development. The two new buildings consist of 1.315m2 of retail space and a total of 51 parking spaces behind the building. The restaurant, cafe, fast food outlets, a Sunny's and various retail shops offer locals and visitors a unique experience in the central Mount shopping district.

THE OUTCOMES

Form Building and Developments are proud to be associated with Seton Developments and First Principles in our construction of the Mount Central Retail development. Working together to deliver this commercial building has paved the way for new retail stores to capitalise on a prime location. All tenants that secure a space will enjoy the constant flow of cruise ships as well as a magical local vibe which makes Mount Maunganui one of New Zealand’s most desirable holiday spots.
