Project Overview

An outstanding and very special two-storey family home in Kings Avenue.

The Brief

Low key face value was part of the client brief - a residence built not to impress passers-by but for the very private enjoyment and living of its owners.

The Build

Interior comfort and even temperature has been designed in. During the day, the sun streams through wide windows onto a concrete heat wall to be absorbed and radiated when the sun is gone.

The house is built around a huge three sided outdoor living courtyard with a hedge on the fourth side, keeping it totally private. Lounge, sunroom, kitchen and master bedroom on ground level all have spectacular views.

The home’s kitchen comprises a separate and secluded larder for food preparation. Built on two levels, a good proportion of the upper level is occupied by the double height entrance gallery.

On the second level are two bedrooms (both with ensuite and walk in robes) and an upstairs gallery and deck.

Outcomes

An exceptionally happy client who felt that all teams involved in the construction process worked very well together, and Form was proud to have been part of the realisation of this outstanding home.
