Project Overview

Investigate damaged areas and produce a comprehensive Scope of Works to develop the process for the various stages of remediation. Removal of damaged and decayed areas of the building and reconstruction to the appropriate building standards.

The Brief

One objective of the principal was to gather information for a Scope of Works, which could be used for the next four stages.

Major objective was to retain a large percentage of occupancy in this aged care facility. Safety was paramount and extra effort was made to allow fresh air and limit dust while work was completed.

The Build

The build involved deconstructing and reconstructing damaged areas. As all access was external to the five storied building, a mobile scissor lift was used throughout.

As each apartment was exposed and damage found, different innovations and methodologies were implemented.

Outcomes

All parties were heavily involved in frequent meetings during which quick decisions were made to ensure the project ran smoothly and with no delays.
